Course description
Magic realism reflects "the hybrid nature of much postcolonial society" (Faris 2004, 1)
A voyage in the fantastic. A reassessment of reality that many times opposes Western rational discourse. The seminar explores the literary production of some of the most important Latin American writers of the 20th century whose works are representative of Magical Realism and the Fantastic, such as Gabriel García Márquez, Julio Cortázar and Jorge Luis Borges.
