Englisch B2: Konversation

Do you want to continue advancing your English skills? This conversation course is appropriate for B2 students who wish to improve their skills in a relaxed atmosphere. Speaking, reading, listening & writing will be practised. Diverse topics for discussion will come from a variety of sources, such as the coursebook, newspaper & magazine articles, authentic videos & news reports, and more. Participants will also be encouraged to talk about their own views & areas of interest. Course material will be provided by the instructor; the cost of materials for copies is 3.00 EUR. About the course instructor: I have a very multicultural background - I was born in South Africa, moved to Australia at age 9 and for the last 14 years have considered myself a Wahlberliner. I am fascinated by my fellow humans & society and am enthusiastic about reading and languages. I studied History, Politics and German Studies at university in Sydney and Berlin and I am a certified English teacher (CELTA). Method: I believe that learning is most successful in an atmosphere characterised by curiosity, encouragement and having fun. To further support effective learning I integrate topics that are interesting, relatable and useful for the learner into my language lessons - examples are history & politics, the workplace, sociology and psychology, among others.
