Have you ever heard of TED Talks? TED stands for 'Technology, Entertainment and Design'. The idea began in the 1980s, and the first lecture was written to introduce the compact disc. The first six TED Talks were posted online in 2006, reaching a million views within a few months. Since then, TED Talk conferences have been created all over the globe, covering every topic imaginable. In this course, we will watch talks on a variety of topics, from environmentalism to psychology to history and beyond, and use them to build vocabulary, learn new things, and spark discussion.
